Our Parish History
Dhaivamatha Church has a rich history of faith and community building in Jubilee Nagar.
Timeline of Divine Milestones
135+ Years Ago (Late 1800s) — Foundation of Faith
The sacred journey began with the establishment of our first small Kapela under Amazhakad Forane, serving as the pioneering chapel under Parishuda Mathavidnte Naamathil. This humble mission station planted the seeds of Catholic faith among scattered families of Jubilee Nagar.1972 - August 15 — Divine Renewal
Through God's abundant grace, our chapel underwent a major Punarudharnam (complete renovation and expansion). This transformation marked the 15th anniversary milestone, elevating our simple worship space into a permanent structure of devotion.1977 — Ecclesiastical Recognition
Elevated to Kurisu Palli status, signifying the remarkable growth of our Catholic community and formal acknowledgment within the diocesan family of Irinjalakuda.1987 — Birth of Filial Church
Officially established as a filial church under Ambazhakad Forane, with regular Holy Mass celebrations beginning. Dhaivamatha Church became the spiritual heart of Jubilee Nagar, drawing families to worship our Divine Mother.2007 - August — Modern Sanctuary
Construction of our current magnificent church building - a testament to faith-filled sacrifice and community unity. This sacred structure now accommodates our growing parish family in worship and prayer.2009 — Daily Eucharistic Gift
Institution of daily Holy Mass, deepening the spiritual life of our community and providing continual access to Christ's Real Presence through our Mother's intercession.2021 — Parish Proclamation
By divine providence, elevated to official independent parish status within Irinjalakuda Diocese, now serving over 100 families with full pastoral programs, catechesis, and sacramental life.
Our Spiritual Heritage
Dhaivamatha Church, Jubilee Nagar, Annallur P.O., Mala, Thrissur - 680731, continues the ancient St. Thomas Christian tradition as a proud member of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. Under the patronage of Dhaivamatha (Divine Mother Mary), we serve as a filial beacon within the Irinjalakuda Diocese and Ambazhakad Forane.
From its origins as a modest Kapela over a century ago, through miraculous renovations and expansions, to its current role as a vibrant parish family, Dhaivamatha Church remains committed to fostering spiritual growth, sacramental life, and community unity. Each stone of our sacred building tells a story of faith, each Mass echoes generations of prayer, and each family carries forward the divine legacy entrusted to us by our Divine Mother.
